STROUD Company, Kitchen Garden, crowned double winners at Cotswold Life Food & Drink awards.
Stroud based producers, Kitchen Garden, enjoyed double success on Monday night as they won Best Local Producer and posthumous Cotswold Food Hero award for the late Barbara Moinet Commercial director James Horwood said: “The Cotswold Life Awards are a big deal in this area and we were both honoured & shocked to win Best Local Producer. It’s a real testament to the hard work of all of our staff. “The real winner of the whole night, however, was Barbara Moinet. Barbara set the business up from her kitchen table 28 years ago and was recognised as the Cotswold Food Hero - the most prestigious award of the evening”. James Moinet, operations director, added - “Barbara passed away earlier this year and she leaves behind an amazing legacy. Her determination, tenacity, passion and care for the company is still our main driving force. She has created an amazing business of which her founding principles of fair, local and ethical are still as prominent now as they were 28 years ago. Her contribution to the Cotswold Food scene is unrivalled and she is so very missed by everyone here”
